28nd day in Philippines
MANILA CITY
Hello manila, that is what i said when
we arrived at Manila, manila is a big city and it is Located about four or five
hour from Tarlac Agricultural University, We went there by using TAU Van at
03.00 AM, we are actually should go at 02.00 am but some of us is have to said
good bye to their buddies so we have to wait for them and the we are went there
at 03.00, we are arrived at the Embassy at 7am and when we arrived Mas Rahmat
is welcoming us and lead us to go to the dorm behind the embassy. The
dorm is so Indonesian, with all the pictures and also the “Wayang Golek”, the
room is quite big, and all the boys is at room 3A meanwhile the girls is on
room 3C. we all just sleep when wee arrived on the room, and then we started to
explore Manila at 10, we rent a Van because of TAU Van has its own schedule.
Our first place to go is the “Manila American Cemetery” the place is so
cool, all of the Gravestone is arranged properly and then there are also a wall
with all the name of the soldier that join the war, the place is so clean and
arranged properly, it is so symmetrical arranged. We take a lot of picture
there.
After we went there, we are heading to the Greenhills market, there are we
have to pray Dzuhur and then our guide “Mas Rahmat” is lead us to the
Greenhills mosque, it is nice, so comfortable and clean, and we pray dzuhur
there, when we the Filipino Muslim meet us they we are not only shaking hands
but they hug us, they said that “Muslim are family” im so touched to hear that.
After pray we go to the Halal Canteen near the mosque
After we eat and pray we are go to the
Greenhills shoping center, there are a lot of Filipino merchandise and it is
cheap, we also can do bargain or “Tawat” (Ditawar lah bahasa indonya mah) to
get the cheaper prices, there i bought some keychain and bag for my Family in
Indonesia, also bought the popcorn that Mas Rahmat gave us yesterday. after
long time of walking around the market, we take a rest and get some lunch, i
bought Chicken and Rice and it cost only 50 pesos (Rp.15,000) after that we get
back to the embassy and take a rest.
The night in Manila is feels like in the Europe, because of the building
style, its different with Tarlac. After that we get back to the hostel and play
some games on the hostel, and also have a dinner together since Epul and his
friends bring us food from his lecture. We also eat ice cream and repacking our
things and try to check the weight, because tomorrow we have to go at 3 pm to
the Airport. We are spending our last night together at the embassy, having fun
together, and feels like nothing can separated us.
